My sitemap shows “0 URLs” – what’s wrong?
For regular sitemaps: Your sitemap file exists but contains no URL entries. Regenerate your sitemap through your CMS or SEO plugin.
For sitemap indexes: The tool counts actual URLs inside child sitemaps, not just the child sitemap count. If it shows 0, either:
- Child sitemaps are empty
- Child sitemaps couldn’t be fetched
- Check the “Child Sitemaps” table for specific issues
