Privacy Policy for WP Quick Login

WP Quick Login (“the extension”) helps users store and auto-fill WordPress login credentials for websites they choose.

This policy explains what data the extension handles, how it is used, and how users can control or delete it.

1. Data We Handle

WP Quick Login handles only data required for its core functionality:

  • Site entries created by the user, including website URL, username, password (stored in encrypted form), and optional metadata such as favorites, categories, custom login paths, and favicon cache.
  • Extension settings and local state, including search/filter UI state, import/export preferences, ignored sites list, and local operational state for login flows.

  • Rendering client favicons

3. Where Data Is Stored

  • Data is stored locally in the user’s browser profile using Chrome extension storage (chrome.storage.local).
  • Password values are encrypted before storage.
  • Backup export files are encrypted when the user sets a backup password.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

WP Quick Login does not sell user data.

WP Quick Login does not share user data with advertising networks or data brokers.

Credentials are used only for the login workflow selected by the user.

5. Data Retention

Data remains in local storage until the user deletes it.

Users can delete individual entries or use “Erase all data” to clear all extension-managed local data.
