Site Load tester – version 1.3.0

We’re excited to announce Speed Tester v1.3.0, which brings meaningful improvements to your testing workflow and better guidance for getting accurate results.

This release focuses on making the Speed Tester faster to use and easier to understand.

Faster re-testing

You can now start a new speed test right from the results screen. A new Run New Test button appears at the top of the page, next to the tested URL, so there’s no need to scroll to the bottom after every test.

Clearer test modes

The test mode descriptions have been rewritten to better explain what each option does and when to use it:

  • Basic mode is now clearly described as an HTTP-only check for quick server response measurements and API endpoints.
  • Full Render mode explains that it runs in a real WebKit browser, measuring rendering, JavaScript execution, and Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS).
  • Added simple guidance to help you choose the right mode for quick checks versus production websites and SPAs.
  • The Full Render toggle tooltip now includes more detail about Web Vitals.

Under the hood

  • Updated the results view to include the new re-test button
  • Improved test mode descriptions across the Speed Tester views
  • App version bumped to 1.3.0

Run New Test Button

We’ve added a prominent “Run New Test” button at the top of the results page, right next to the scanned website URL. This saves you from scrolling down after every test, making re-testing faster and more convenient.

Full Render Mode

We’ve enhanced the documentation to clarify that this mode uses a real WebKit browser engine to measure actual rendering performance, JavaScript execution, and Core Web Vitals metrics including LCP (Largest Contentful Paint), FID (First Input Delay), and CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift).

The Full Render toggle tooltip now provides detailed information about Web Vitals measurement, helping you choose the right testing approach for your needs.
